Updates
What changed
Newest first. Nearly everything here started as a report from someone playing — the report box sends the note together with the exact state of that game, which is what makes a card fixable. Those entries are marked reported.
4 November 2026
- reported A unit played with [Ambush] in a fight gives the attacker a turn to answer. Before, its player's next pass ended the showdown and went straight to damage, so the attacker never saw Vi, Peacekeeper come in. Now playing it starts a fresh round of passes, as a spell does.
- reported Akali, Deadly Weapon chooses the unit she'll damage as her move trigger goes on the Chain, not as it resolves. The opponent now sees which unit she chose and can answer, with Not So Fast for one.
- reported Brynhir Thundersong stops every play by your opponent this turn, including plays made by an effect. After Brynhir, Temporal Breach's banished unit stays banished; before, its owner played it straight back.
- reported Jayce, Man of Progress can kill any gear you control: Equipment on a unit, a gear at a battlefield, or a unit gear. Before, only gear in your base was offered, so Jayce played to a battlefield beside his gear had nothing to choose.
- reported Runes on Safari (iPad, iPhone, Mac) sit side by side again. They had all piled onto one spot, so only the top one could be seen or clicked.
- reported Less flicker on iPad. Card pictures on the table are now drawn as soon as the board updates, instead of waiting a moment to load. That wait could make the screen blink with every move the bot made.
- reported Forecaster's [Vision] works on Mech tokens. A Mech played by Production Surge (or any other card) now lets you look at the top card of your deck.
2 November 2026
- reported The Chain steps aside when you pick on the board. While you choose a unit (Evelynn, Entrancing's pull, a target for a play), the Chain shrinks into the bottom-right corner, so it no longer covers the battlefield you need to click.
- reported Crowded battlefields show every unit. A side with no units folds away, the side with more gets more room, and with three or more units on a side the battlefield card and the units take a size down. Units no longer hide under one another.
- reported Long answers fit. A choice with long answers (Riven, Broken Blade's modes) puts them on a row under the question instead of squeezing the question into a narrow column.
- new Might at each battlefield, added up. Each side's total Might there is shown in its corner (on a phone, in the battlefield's header: theirs v yours).
- reported Temporal Breach at Rockfall Path: units can't be played to the Path, so the banished unit stays banished instead of coming straight back.
- reported Blood Rush gives [Assault 2] this turn, as its official correction says; it was lasting for good.
- reported Hwei, Brooding Painter: a discarded Patched Porobot, a unit and a gear, now does both, readying 2 runes and giving +3 Might.
- fixed When you lose a battlefield, the history now says your hidden card there is put in the trash. It used to say the card was “returned”.
29 October 2026
- reported Friends with an invite code are always paired. If one of you had Banned cards allowed switched on and the other didn't, the two of you waited in different lines and the clock kept ticking for both. Now the same code seats you together, and the game is played with banned cards allowed if either of you chose it. Looking for anyone still pairs you only within your own format, and the waiting box now says when someone is looking in the other one.
- reported Runeblade Anvil's banished card can be played when it's a spell. A unit or gear banished by the Anvil could be played until your Ending Phase, as the card says, but a spell (Bushwhack, in the report) was never offered.
- reported Keywords a card is given are shown on it. A unit given [Ganking] by Gem Jammer, [Assault] by Rumble, Hotheaded, or a keyword from its gear or a battlefield carries a chip for each, with its number; a dashed one lasts only this turn. Hover a chip to read what it does. Before, nothing on the board said so.
- new You see what was played. A card stays on show a moment after it resolves, marked Resolved, so a spell your opponent let through at once is still seen. Your auto-pass and the bot both wait a beat while a card is on the Chain.
- new What an ability comes from glows. While a battlefield's, a unit's or a Legend's ability is on the Chain, that card is lit in gold.
- new Costs as symbols. The ways to play a card show its cost as Energy coins and Power gems in their domain's colour, not as “4+1C”.
- new Keys. A, S, D and F pick the ways to play a card (Esc cancels), and Space confirms a choice once you've made a pick.
- new Auto-pay uses Seals. With auto-pay on, a Seal (“[E]: Add [R]”) pays a Power it matches before any rune is recycled. Gold and other Adds with a cost stay yours to use.
28 October 2026
- reported Renekton, Butcher of the Sands' “[A][A], [E]: Add [2]” now pays a unit's own ability, as the card says: Renekton, Brute's “[1]: Give me +1 Might” is offered with no rune left to tap, and the Legend's [2] pays it. Before, the ability wasn't offered at all, so the Legend's Energy never could be used for it.
- reported What you look at is shown. When a card has you look at the top of your Main Deck (Lightning Rush and the like), a window shows you every card you saw, before what it lets you do with them. A Nocturne, Horrifying played from among them used to appear out of nowhere. Your opponent isn't shown the cards; the history says you looked.
- fixed The Chain named the wrong card for an ability whose card had already left the board — a Watchful Sentry's [Deathknell], a Treasure Trove's draw — showing the first battlefield's name instead, so it looked as if that battlefield had triggered. It shows the card now.
- fixed Deathgrip, Defiant Dance and Clash of Giants need two different units, as they say (“another”, “two units”): one unit could be chosen for both, and Deathgrip was offered with a single friendly unit.
- fixed Moonfall chooses its battlefield as it is played, so it can't be cast with no unit of yours at a battlefield (it was, and then did nothing).
- fixed A spell played from Hidden chooses only at its own battlefield; with nothing there it can't be played, as the rules say. Back Off hidden at an empty battlefield was offered against units elsewhere.
- fixed A card whose ability is a [Reaction] or an [Action] (“[Reaction] — [E]: Add [1]”) is no longer itself played at that speed: Platewyrm Egg, Honeyfruit and Dragonsoul Sage could be played while a spell was on the Chain, and Ekko, Revolutionary and Shadow in a showdown.
- new The Chain is on the board. While spells and abilities are waiting to resolve, their cards are shown large over the middle of the table, between the battlefields, oldest on the left, each marked with who played it, and the one that resolves first marked. A dotted arrow arcs from each card to everything it is aimed at — blue for yours, red for your opponent's — and the targets glow. Pointing at a card brings its arrows forward. On a phone the Chain is a sheet as before, with the same cards and marks.
- new Cleaner prompts and windows. Every prompt — a choice, a payment, a way to play a card, combat — has the same look and the same two buttons, and on a computer they all sit together at the top, so none covers a battlefield. Windows of cards (a revealed hand, a look at your deck) show the cards in one row.
- new Auto-pass when you can't play, a switch in the settings menu (off unless you turn it on). The table already passes for you when Pass is the only thing you could do; with this on it also passes when all that's left is a card that only adds Energy or Power, such as Gold.
- new Phone layout on a computer. The settings menu switches between the desktop table and the phone board on any device; on a computer the phone board shows in a phone-wide column.
27 October 2026
- new Auto-pay with runes, a switch in the settings menu (off unless you turn it on). When a payment opens, your runes are tapped for the Energy and recycled for the Power for you, sparing the runes the cost doesn't need. Gold and other cards that add are still yours to click.
- new Predict with hints off. The tools have a Predict… button: choose how many, then send any of those top cards to the bottom and put the rest back in the order you want. Looking through the whole deck shuffles it afterwards; Predict doesn't.
- new Deck import reads collection-site lists: the ones with a price beside each card, a rarity and a domain line around it, and sections like “unit (21)”, “gear (5)”, “spell (13)”. Paste the list as it's copied.
- reported Drakehound Packmaster now shows the card it played from the top of your opponent's deck, in a window like a revealed hand. Before, it was only in the history.
- reported The opponent's Hexplosive Minefield could be cast and then set off no Bombs at all. The opponent sets off its Bombs now; they come back at the end of the turn, which it hadn't counted.
25 October 2026
- reported Gold pays in the middle of an effect. A cost paid while something resolves — a unit Rek'Sai, Swarm Queen reveals and you play, or Reckless Innovator's “Pay [C] to draw 1” — could only be paid with runes. Your Gold (“Kill this, [E]: Add [A]”) is offered beside the runes now, and so are other free Add abilities.
- reported Dune Devourer played from Rek'Sai's reveal now asks whether to kill a friendly unit for [2] off, as it does from your hand. The same goes for any unit an effect lets you play “paying its cost”: you choose where it enters first, then its additional cost, then you pay.
- reported Trifarian Captain looking at an Undertitan gave you [2]. Undertitan's “As I'm revealed from your deck, Add [2]” went off when the card was only looked at; it waits for a real reveal now.
- reported Moving several units at once on a phone. With a unit selected, a tap on another one replaced it, so you couldn't send two units in together (say, to keep Fiora, Peerless from fighting one on one) unless you knew to double-tap. Now a tap adds the unit to the move, as a click does on a computer, and a tap on a selected unit takes it out again.
- reported Desktop view on a phone held upright drew the board so tall that your runes were squeezed on top of one another. Desktop view now takes effect with the phone turned sideways. Held upright, you get the phone board, and turning the phone switches between them.
- reported Checked, and working as the cards say:
- A Bomb killed a 3-Might Reckless Innovator. The opponent had Ziggs, Short-Fused in play: “Abilities of friendly gear deal 1 Bonus Damage.” Each Bomb dealt 3, not 2. The first Bomb hit one Innovator and set off the second, which hit the other.
- A unit cost [1] less at a battlefield you control. That battlefield was Hunters' Circle: “For each player, the first unit or gear they play here on their turn costs [1] less” — whoever controls it included.
- Herald of Spring gave no XP. In a game with hints off, a card you move onto the board by hand isn't played, so “When you play me, gain 2 XP” doesn't happen by itself. Keep your XP with the XP − / + buttons, or turn hints on. Its [Hunt] XP was counted.
- Detonate couldn't be played. In the game sent, it could be played on both gears there (yours in base and a Bomb). With hints off nothing is offered on your turn; play it by hand, or turn hints on.
- reported Windsinger could never be hidden: its Hidden is printed without brackets, and the table didn't read it as the keyword. It can be hidden now.
22 October 2026
- reported 19 Radiance cards had the wrong domain. The official card gallery lists them under another one, and the table took it from there — so they asked for the wrong runes and sat in the wrong place in the deck builder. Each was checked against its card: Pillaged Armory, Nazuman Ntofo and Elnuk Herd are Body; Runeblade Anvil, Amateur Demolitionist, Bilgewater Tracker, Brawl, Coalesced Energy and Detonation Amplifier are Fury; Demon Shade, Bushwhack Trap, Disposal Expert, Mechanical Bandit and The Good Stuff are Chaos; Clocktower Guardian, Gravity Field and Supernova are Mind; Blossoming Dreamroot is Calm; Burn Away is Order. Runeblade Anvil's “[2], [E]: Kill this” pip is Fury, as printed.
- Radiance tags, from the cards themselves. About 50 cards were missing tags the gallery leaves off — regions and types such as Mech, Bird, Dragon, Demon and Spirit. Clanging Sentry and Piltovan Guidebot are Mechs (Sentry's “Your Mechs have [Disarm]” now includes itself), Nazuman Ntofo is Equipment, and Clocktower Guardian is Shurima, not a Mech.
- If one of your saved decks has one of these cards, open it in the deck builder: with its real domain it may no longer match your Legend.
21 October 2026
- reported Hunters' Circle (“the first unit or gear they play here on their turn costs [1] less”) discounted units and gear played anywhere, your base included, until one had been played there — a unit and a gear could both come in cheaper, and neither at the Circle. Now only the first unit or gear played to Hunters' Circle each turn costs [1] less.
- reported Heimerdinger, Inventor (“I have all [E] abilities of all friendly legends, units, and gear”) now has the [E] abilities that come from a keyword too. With Ekko's Legend, the Boy Who Shattered Time, he had its “Disempower me, [E]” but not its “[Empower] — [1], [E]”, so he could never use either. Borrowed, “me” is Heimerdinger: he empowers himself, then may disempower himself for the cheaper next unit.
- reported Shimmering Swimmer's “kill a friendly unit or gear” as its additional cost left a gear standing: a Bomb token paid with neither died nor went off. A gear paid with is killed now, and a Bomb's [Deathknell] deals its 2.
- reported Moving units from different places together. With a unit from your base selected, clicking a unit with [Ganking] at another battlefield moved the first unit there instead of adding the second to the move. Now a unit joins the move whenever the units can still go somewhere together — in either order: one move, both units, to attack the other battlefield. Where they couldn't (a unit without [Ganking] can only go home), a click on a unit in your base still means “go to base”.
- reported 24 more Radiance cards. They were added to the official card gallery after the set was first brought in, and were missing from the pool — Gutter Guardian among them. All are now in the deck builder and playable as printed: Angler Wyrm, Armored Tusker, Battle Preparations, Bloodscent Swarm, Burn Away, Explosimian, Forbidden Technique, Gutter Guardian, Hunting Blind, Incorrigible Construct, Orianna, Exquisite, Pitiless Stalker, Protector's Shield, Raucous Anthem, Remember the Fallen, Seraphic Wyvern, Seraphine, Inspiring, Spirit of the Forge, Stoic Ferryman, Strigian Oracle, Trinket Peddler, Whirling Twirligig, a showcase Ekko, Revolutionary, and a new Legend for Riven, The Exile (“Units you play to battlefields you control enter ready”).
20 October 2026
- reported Hold a card to read it, on the desktop table by touch. On an iPad, or in Desktop view on a phone, a long press on any card opens its big preview, as hovering does with a mouse; the next tap closes it. Holding never selects or plays the card. (The phone board already had this.)
- Radiance, card by card. Every card of the set was played on a real table against its text and the new rules for [Deploy], [Disarm] and [Show Off], and these were fixed:
- The Bomb is a [Deathknell], as the rules print it: Detonation Amplifier at its battlefield sets it off twice, and so does Karthus.
- A token you play is a unit you play, in every set. The rules say a token is played like a card, so every “when you play a unit” now counts the Recruits, Mechs, Sprites and Birds you make: Pridestalker, Cithria of Cloudfield, Reluctant Leader, Blood Rose, Relentless Storm, Fresh Beans, Vex, Apathetic, Valley of Idols, and “the next unit you play” (Nami, Headstrong, Sun Disc, Last Caress, Boy Who Shattered Time, Firelights' Hideout). A Gold or Bomb token is a gear played (Pit Crew, Ravenbloom Prefect). “When you play a card” still doesn't count tokens (they aren't cards), and Star Spring says “non-token”.
- Radiance and tokens: Fanfare draws for it, Ephemeral Ward dies to it, and Titanic Shrine, Rakelstake, Hunters' Circle and Hold 'Em count it. Lingering Animus enters ready after a friendly token died.
- Nazuman Ntofo (and Vendetta's Jagged Cutlass) can be equipped: their Equip had been missed. Blade of the Exile can also be equipped by exhausting a friendly unit.
- Gravity Field: a move to it that the opponent can't pay [1][A] for is no longer offered (it was offered, then refused).
- Ahri, Confident gets her +1 from any -Might you give an enemy there, such as Siphon Power's, not only from a spell that chooses it.
- Riven, Seraphine and Reckless Innovator “become exhausted” when a death is replaced by a recall that exhausts them (Tactical Retreat, Guardian Angel).
- Demacian Illuminators buffs once when several friendly units die together, as in a combat.
- Iron Revenant's Power pays only for units and gear, as printed.
- Drakehound Packmaster (and any card played for free) puts a [Deploy] gear at a battlefield, not in base. The Ball triggers when Command: Attack moves it. Demacian Standard gives +2 on every attack there, not once a turn.
- Chronobreak lets each unit's owner bring it home instead of back to its battlefield. Boy Who Shattered Time's “Kill me at end of turn” is only this turn's end.
- Mordekaiser, Twice Slain gives up a unit that is dying anyway before any other, and never one bigger than him. Clocktower Guardian asks before playing a banished spell. Satchel Charge can move a unit home, and Encore's Recruits go where you pick.
- The bot shows off its best card (Primordial Roar, The Empyrean) and aims damage where it kills.
19 October 2026
- reported Deck import reads other sites' lists as they are. Section names in any of the usual spellings (“MainDeck:”, “Main Deck (40)”, “Champion:”, “Rune Deck”, “Battlegrounds”), counts as “3 Name”, “3x”, “x3” or “Name x3”, card codes like “SFD-101”, and a Legend written with its champion in front (“Fiora, Grand Duelist”). A Champion section's card now counts toward the 40. While you paste, the dialog shows what it read — Legend, Champion Unit, main deck, runes, battlefields — and every line it couldn't match, with the closest card names.
- reported A Chosen Champion with [Reaction] or [Ambush] can be played in a showdown. With the Focus, only your hand was looked at, so Shen, Kinkou and Rengar, Trophy Hunter were never offered from the champion zone there. They are now, as they already were in a Chain window.
- reported Confront (“Units you play this turn enter ready”) now covers tokens you play, such as Recruit the Vanguard's four Recruits. So do Bushwhack and Magma Wurm.
- reported Choosing where a token goes: your own base was outlined in red, like an enemy pick, beside a green battlefield, and looked as if it wasn't allowed. It was always clickable; it is green now. The token is named Recruit, not “Recruit (DE)”.
- reported Svellsongur copies all of the unit's text. Only its “When…” abilities were copied, so on Ornn, Forge God it did nothing. Now his “+1 Might for each friendly gear” counts twice and he has [Deflect 2] twice.
- The Discord invite on the About and Feedback pages is new: discord.gg/4EznNEkdMY.
17 October 2026
- reported Resonating Strike played from face down can move a unit from your base. The battlefield must be the one it was hidden at; the unit is “at a different location”, so it can never be there and may come from anywhere (rule 811). Only units already at that battlefield were offered.
- reported [Repeat]: the second choice now says it is the repeat (“[Repeat] up to three units… — the same again or others”). It looked exactly like the first, so it was easy to confirm with nothing picked. Bellows Breath on the same unit twice deals 2.
- reported Legion Marauder's “[Empower] — [1] or [B]” offers both ways. Only the Energy way was there, so with every rune tapped it could not be Empowered, though a Body rune could be recycled for [B].
- reported The bot no longer spends a pump like Punch First on a unit in its base. It counted “+5 this turn” as if it would last into its next turn.
13 October 2026
- reported Imperial Decree (“When any unit takes damage this turn, kill it”) covers the whole turn: units damaged earlier this turn die as it resolves, and any unit damaged after it, until the turn ends. The history says so when it resolves.
- reported “Up to three” choices (Bellows Breath): after the first pick the other units went dim and only one could be chosen. They stay lit, the prompt counts your picks, and Bellows Breath's three must be at the same location.
- reported Rocket Barrage chooses its target as it is played, so the Chain shows what it is aimed at, including when the bot casts it.
- reported The history shows draws and discards from card effects. Traveling Merchant's draw did happen, but nothing said so. The opponent sees that you drew, never what.
- reported The bot no longer uses an ability that does nothing, such as Defender of Tomorrow's “ready a gear” with no gear to ready.
- reported Desktop view on a phone. On a touch device the settings menu has Desktop view / Phone view, remembered by your browser. The desktop table is zoomed out to fit; pinch to zoom in.
10–12 October 2026
- The tutorial in chapters. Tutorial on the Home screen opens twelve short chapters: the goal, runes and costs, units, scoring, combat, spells and the Chain, showdowns, keywords, hidden cards, Legend and Champion, gear and Equip, and a whole turn. Each shows its part in a few steps, then gives you a fresh table to do it yourself. They work on phones too, and finished ones are ticked. The full walkthrough is still there as the last entry.
- reported The bot no longer casts a spell that changes nothing (Upstage Comedy on a unit already ready), and no longer taps a rune on its own in a window, losing the Energy.
- reported A token that is banished or returned to hand is said in the history: it ceases to exist, so there is nothing to play back.
- reported The payment says what [Deflect] adds to a cost (“Includes [A] for Fiora, Victorious's [Deflect]”). XP shows on the phone board, for both players.
- reported On a phone held sideways, the tap that opened “How do you want to play it?” also chose the first way, so Accelerate could never be picked. Fixed.
3–8 October 2026
- Every card read against its script. All the cards on the table were checked line by line, and about 45 were fixed — among them Acceptable Losses, Call to Glory, Dazzling Aurora, Guerilla Warfare, Called Shot, Drag Under, Cursed Sarcophagus and Dancing Grenade.
- vs Custom Deck. The bot can play one of the decks you built and saved, shown as tiles with the Legend's art and the Chosen Champion. Sign in and press Save to keep decks.
- The Banned cards allowed format. A deck may use cards on the Standard ban list when its games are played in that format: Practice, vs Custom Deck, and Normal, where such decks are paired only with each other.
- Prompts and payments in plain words. The card asking is shown at a readable size with when it is asking (“as it resolves”), the question is worded as a question, and the Rune Pool is shown in words: “Unspent · 2 Energy · 1 Calm · lost at end of turn”. A card you can't afford says what it is short of.
- Floating Energy. A rune recycled for its Power is tapped for its Energy first, so the Energy is never thrown away; what a payment doesn't need waits in the pool.
- reported A revealed hand is shown in a popup (Scuttle Crab, Insightful Investigator, Ashe…), and a spell's targets are marked while it waits on the Chain. On a touch screen, a tap on a card on the Chain opens its preview.
- The other player's unfinished play stays theirs. While they are still choosing targets or paying, nothing of it is shown to you; they may cancel.
- The bot plays better. It hides cards, keeps runes up only for a combat trick it holds, and starts a fight only when, played out with what it can see, it wins it.
- reported Fixes from reports, among them: The List's ability was never offered; Endless Riches plays [Ambush] and [Reaction] units from the trash in a showdown; Ornn's Forge discounts a unit that is also a gear; Zhonya's Hourglass saves your most valuable unit when several die at once. The Baron Pit is drawn between the two battlefields it joins.
- The home page no longer makes claims about how many cards or rules the table handles.
24 September – 2 October 2026
- Undo last play in Practice and Sandbox: a button on the phase strip at the top of the table takes back your last play.
- Units at a battlefield are fanned, each still showing enough to read and tap. On a phone, banners never leave part of the board out of reach, and the cards in the opponent's base can be chosen.
- reported Shady Spectacles makes the copy it promises, and the history says which unit became a copy of which. Zhonya's Hourglass heals, Rally the Troops buffs tokens, and Spiderling may be played in any number.
- reported Playing from the trash works on a phone too; Death from Below is played again for [A]; Undying Legion comes back once another card is played.
- reported Baron Nashor enters the Baron Pit as he is played, with no question about where.
- Two-player games with hints off open by the rules: the roll's winner chooses who goes first, and both seats mulligan.
- No more drop after two hours. A long session ran out and the next click got a fresh one — the tutorial's table and Annie's deck. Your session now lasts as long as you play.
23 September 2026
- reported Rek'Sai, Breacher did not offer [Accelerate] on token units. Its ability reads “friendly units played from anywhere other than a player's hand have [Accelerate]”, and a played token is created on the Chain and follows every step of playing a card — so the offer is owed, at [1] plus a pip of the token's own domain (or any, where it has none). Every token effect asks now — Recruits, Sand Soldiers, Mechs, Shadow Clones, Sprites, Birds and Reflections alike.
- Undertitan's second line finally does something: “As I'm revealed from your deck, [Add] [2]” was never written down, so revealing it off Void Rush or the Void Burrower handed back nothing. Being revealed now counts as being seen on top, which also lets Nocturne, Horrifying play itself from a reveal, as its own text says.
- The Candlelit Sanctum now asks how to order the cards it puts back, as it says it does. It had its own copy of the look-and-recycle code that predates the Predict fix; it uses the same Predict now.
- reported Predict never let you order the cards you kept. [Predict N] is “look at N, recycle any of them, put the rest back in any order” — that last part was skipped, so they went back as they were found. With Clairvoyance (“[Predict 5]. Draw 2.”) the order is what you draw, so the choice mattered most exactly where it was missing. It asks now: pick as many as you like for the top, in that order, or pick none to leave them be.
- reported A Chosen Champion with [Ambush] could not be ambushed in. Kha'Zix, Mutating Horror sits in the champion zone, and reaction windows only ever looked at your hand — so the one keyword that exists to play a unit as a reaction could only be used in your Main Phase, where it does nothing. The champion zone counts now, as it already did for ordinary plays and for hiding.
- reported Sabotage now reveals the opponent's hand as the card says, whether or not there is a non-unit card in it to take. With a hand of nothing but units it does nothing — correct, but it looked like a card that had simply failed.
- reported The tutorial was stuck at “Your first unit” — Mystic Poro sat there with nothing to click. Since the 21st, a change to how seats are guarded had the table refusing the tutorial's scripted opponent its mulligan, so the game never reached turn 1. Fixed, with a test that plays the opponent's mulligan through the tutorial and checks the first unit is playable. If a tutorial gave up on you this week, that was why — sorry.
- The tutorial only takes the click it asks for. While a step names one card to click, play, move or set aside, every other card is inert — you can't wander the walkthrough off its script by clicking something else, and the mulligan step won't let a different card be set aside.
22 September 2026
- Pick your battlefield — every game, and it asks. Pressing Practice, Sandbox, Normal, Invite a friend or Use a code now opens a small “Which battlefield?” dialog with your three, plus Random. Each of you brings the one you chose (the Match setup, r2673), settled before the opening roll and the mulligans; Random has one drawn instead (the Duel setup). Until now this was a select far down the Decks page that only Practice and Sandbox read, and that most people never saw — a Normal game against a person always drew at random.
- reported Veiled Temple would not ready Patched Porobot. The Temple only looked for gear sitting in your base, so a unit gear attached out at a battlefield was invisible to it. It now readies any tapped gear of yours, unit gear included, wherever it stands.
- reported Falling Star would not let both of its “Deal 3 to a unit” pick the same unit. It may: 6 to one target if you like. A fix for Smoke and Mirrors had made every two-target card keep its targets apart; now only the cards that say “another” do.
- reported Not So Fast says “counter an enemy spell or ability” but only ever offered spells. It counters abilities now — you pick the unit, gear or Legend the ability came from. Repulse, with the same wording, likewise.
- Checked and correct as printed: Miss Fortune, Captain's “ready something else that's exhausted” offers every exhausted card of yours — units at battlefields, gear, your Legend, runes. In the reported game the one exhausted unit was in the list; a tapped unit shows its glow as a square around the sideways card.
- reported Lillia, Fae Fawn's Sprite entered ready when she moved. Every other printing that makes a Sprite says “play a ready 3 Might Sprite”; hers does not, so hers enters exhausted like any other unit. The ones that do print it — Sprite Queen, Sprite Fountain, Sprite Burst, Trevor Snoozebottom, Sprite Mother, Sprite Call — are unchanged.
- reported Treasure Trove did nothing when you killed it: only half the card was written down here — the ability that kills it, but not “when this leaves the board, draw 1 and channel 1 rune exhausted”. It pays out now, however it leaves: killed, bounced, recycled or banished.
- reported Karthus, Eternal: a second copy added nothing. Each one says “your [Deathknell] effects trigger an additional time”, so they stack — two Karthus mean three triggers. A gear's [Deathknell] counts as one of yours too, which it did not before.
- reported Dusk Rose Lab could not be pointed at a unit with [Temporary]. [Temporary] is a triggered ability — “at the start of your Beginning Phase, before scoring, kill this” — and the table was carrying it out before that phase's other triggers instead of alongside them, so the unit was already dead when the Lab asked. Both go on the Chain now, with the Lab resolving first: a unit on its way out can be spent for the card.
- Practice by hand. With hints off in Practice, your turns are yours — nothing enforced, no help — while the bot goes on playing its own turns by the rules, hand hidden as ever. End your turn and the table catches up on the board as it stands (showdowns, combats, scoring), the bot plays, and your next Main Phase is by hand again.
- Updates during a game. When the site is about to be updated, every open table now shows a paused banner with the seconds to expect, holds the clocks, and picks the game up again on the other side instead of dropping it.
21 September 2026 — evening
Nine reports, each reproduced from the game it was sent with.
- reported Patched Porobot is a unit gear, and our card data had it as a plain unit. It is now counted, chosen and readied as gear — so “ready a gear” effects can pick it — and its own draw counts other gear.
- reported Risen Altar discounted Energy only. A unit played there now also gets the Altar's pip discount, with the choice of which pip to save.
- reported Swift Scout's “[1] instead of [A]” to hide: Energy in your pool now pays a hide straight away, and a payment offers your Legend's cheaper route first.
- reported A ready rune recycled during a payment that still owed Energy threw that Energy away. It is tapped for its [1] first now.
- reported Teemo, Strategist and Dazzling Aurora revealed cards without ever saying which: the reveal is named in the history now. Ravenbloom Conservatory had the same silence — battlefield triggers, reveals and recycles are all narrated.
- Empowered is visible at last: a gold plate and a lit frame on units and on your Legend.
- Checked and correct as printed: Loyal Poro draws when it did not die alone; the final point may come from a Conquer once every battlefield has been scored that turn; Gold's “Kill this, [E]: Add [A]” did add the [A] in the reported game.
21 September 2026 — afternoon
Six reports, plus a seventh that arrived while these were being fixed.
- reported Arise! asked which two Sand Soldiers to ready before they existed, and the banner had nothing to show. An option now remembers the card it was asked about.
- reported First Mate with only an enemy unit to ready: that is the legal choice, and the banner now names the opponent's card when every legal pick is theirs.
- reported Fire Below the Mountain (both printings): the Legend's gear-only Add now counts toward affording a gear. Free Add power from a Legend counted nowhere before.
- reported Smoke and Mirrors let the same unit be both its targets, and so did nothing. A later target can now depend on the earlier picks, and a two-target card with no legal pair is not offered at all.
- reported Curator of the Sands never asked when Steel Paws was Empowered for [7]: activated abilities now fire the board trigger with their printed cost.
- reported Existential Dread needs an attacking enemy unit. Rather than sitting there inert, a card you cannot play now says why on hover — the timing, the target it cannot find, or the cost.
- Battlefields at setup are drawn in a game against the bot and chosen on the deck page for a game against a person, as the rules have it.
21 September 2026 — from the first games between two people
- reported The table redrew itself every second for the turn clock alone, closing whatever you had open — a dialog, or the “which ability?” picker. Only a change of the table redraws it now; the clock ticks on its own.
- reported Elder Dragon asked once per location, and the client answered the second question with “nothing” all by itself.
- reported A card being hidden was named to the opponent while its Hide cost was paid.
- reported “When you choose me” now fires for any ability's choice, not only a unit's — an Equip choosing Irelia, Fervent gives her the +1 Might, and her Legend's ready trigger fires.
- Zhonya's Hourglass verified from base and from Hidden, including in the combat that would kill the unit: it saves it either way.
21 September 2026 — the table by hand
- A table where nothing is enforced. Move cards between any zones, tap and ready, mark damage, buffs, stuns and counters, count points, draw, channel, shuffle, roll dice and pass the turn — by hand, as at a real table. Hidden zones stay their owner's. The HINTS switch beside the cog turns the rules back on mid-game, and off again.
- A phase guide. The phase strip stays lit through the turn and the line under it says what the phase asks for — ready your cards, score what you hold, channel 2 runes (3 on the second player's first turn), draw 1 — with the action as a button. Nothing is enforced; the Main Phase is yours.
- Table talk. A chat between the two seats of a match: a tab on the right edge, five quick phrases, and an unread count while it is shut. Lines live with the match and go with it.
- Space skips a prompt with its default — pass, done, “don't”, keep hand — and the button it would press wears a small Space badge.
- Normal games open with hints off by default, as a shared tabletop; either player can turn them on.
- reported A card hidden face down at a battlefield could not be right-clicked: the hidden stack sat under the unit row above, which swallowed every click.
- A card moved between two private zones (a mulligan to the bottom of the deck, a tutor to hand) was narrated by name to the other seat. It says “a card” now.
- Each player keeps their own score in a match — the other seat's points cannot be touched. Look through the deck shuffles the deck as you close it if you took something, and does not if you only looked.
20 September 2026 — and the days before
- reported Divining Shells: an ability whose cost kills its own source lost its targets, because the source was gone by the time they were read.
- reported A token played with no stated location went to base; its controller may choose base or a battlefield they control. Twenty-one such cards now ask, from Trapping Grounds to Guards! to Sprite Burst.
- reported “Excess damage” lingered past its combat, so conquering an empty battlefield later in the turn wrongly fired Trapping Grounds and the like.
- reported A unit joining an open combat with [Ambush] (Vi, Peacekeeper) did not get its side's designation, so its “when I attack” never fired.
- reported Hextech Gauntlets' Equip cost is reduced by the chosen unit's Might, so the unit has to be chosen before the cost is known.
- reported Lethal damage is now judged for every unit at once and then the kills happen. Killing one at a time let Wielder of Water survive damage that was lethal when the step began.
- Triggers allow reactions. “At the start of your Beginning Phase” and “at the end of your turn” abilities go on the Chain with a priority window each, so Dusk Rose Lab's “you may kill a unit to draw” is actually asked.
- Non-combat Showdowns open for real: a unit arriving alone at an open battlefield gives the opponent a window before control changes.
- A repeated spell asks each pass its own questions — Curtain Call used to re-read the first pass's answer and error out.
- The bot got better: it searches wider and deeper, checks your visible reply before committing, knows a lethal board, and goes down swinging rather than passing when it is being held out of the game.
- The ban list is enforced in the builder and at the table, and a printed deck leaves its banned cards out and says which.
- Shareable decks (a link that opens as a copy), a page for every printed deck, and a result card you can put on the clipboard when you win.
Known, and not bugs
- Ornn, Fire Below the Mountain's Add is gear-only: you cannot tap the Legend for a rune toward anything else. Reported twice now — it is as printed.
- The alpha caps how many games run at once. One small server plays every bot turn, so at busy times you may be given a place in the queue. The tutorial and the builder are never capped.
- Saved decks and history may be reset before launch proper.
Something wrong at your table? The report box in the settings menu sends your note with the state of that game — that is what makes the entries above possible.
